Week 11′s video installment shows the Flipside crew getting crunk and improvising  over sound-designer, Martin Carrillo’s beat. So crunk in fact, Co-Artistic Director and lead Flipside writer, Julia Rosenblatt, made haste and discarded her sweater from her person. There was more hand jiving (albeit it a bit lowkey)- as Cindy rehearsed her spoken word piece over Taneisha and Julia’s melodic trills.

Watching the music come together from behind the scenes has definitely been my most recent, favorite part of this whole process. It’s akin to sitting in a studio watching a team of producers work with a musical artist. Those moments are generally kept under lock and key until the final product… and yes… this song is still stuck in my head since I confessed in the last post. I’ve inundated my family and friends, until they’ve now begun humming it, sans a clue of Why? or What? I’d be willing to wager the audience will be too…
